Some stories seem are epic and some are just simple wonders. Our's began on a boring night but has grown into a simple wonder for our family.  Ten years ago when I was a single mom shopping with my friend, Cindy.  We would tuck whatever cash we had to spend and head off to find some little treasure, and one day we were in a boutique and saw a stitched sampler we loved.  I was going to buy it on the spot, but she said, "Abby....you can make that soooo easy!".  So I did, and another and another.  I needed something to fill my time in between my kids and the occasional date. 

The next year I met my husband on a singles site and quickly found out he could build anything I showed him.  I had him building frames and furniture like crazy while I stitched up a storm.....really my studio looked like a twister hit it!  Cindy entered me in a show in Southern California. We loaded up my Suburban and we headed to Orange County.  We sold everything I took and had way too much fun!

We came home and kept designing, shopping, and building and here we are!  One husband, six children, four step~children plus one of our own (yep 11).  Two wonderful sons-in-law, a fun daughter-in-law, one beautiful grand daughter and one really crazy designer with a ton of friends pushing me on!  So that's our story so far....and I believe the best is still to come!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the site and find a project or too that inspires you to pick a needle and giggle a little too!  Here are a few more photos of our family click here.
