I can't believe a whole month has gone by without me posting to the site. I've had graduations, a vacation, a baby shower, my daughters prom, and a couple of sickies to comfort. So April flew by! Wow! I hope your month went well too!
I am so happy to see May flowers and sunshine. I told my husband that all I wanted for Mothers Day was a new Cuisinart and my flower beds planted. He did both a couple of weeks ago and has the boys out a couple of nights a week planting. May is GREAT! Best of all I can get back out walking, running and hiking the hills behind my house. I love...love...love May!
Two other things I love is making quilts...of course :) and spring at Gardners Village in West Jordan, Utah. Have any of you been there? The shops are fantastic, the food is yummo, and the fudge is to die for! Last week I finished a quilt for Gracie designed by Bate & Taylor called Argyle With Style and I took a trip to Gardners Village.

My favorite shop at Gardners Village is Pine Needles. I have been shopping there for years! Most of you know I work there a few hours a week. I love the people I work with and getting to play with fabrics too. Most of my samples can be found there.

So Lovely!
Ok...I'll let you in on a secret. The best time to visit Gardner's Village is on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It's quiet and peaceful. I'll pack a Sunday picnic and a few blankets. The older kids bring a book or drawing pad and the younger kids feed the geese. I LOVE the shops...but sometimes it's nice to have a place to relax in peace.
It's almost noon and I'm off to hike the hill or mountain :) behind my house. Then back to finishing framing my three new family stitches! Watch for them this week. Have a great day!
