I hope each of you had a wonderful Easter holiday weekend. I had one of the best weeks of my life. My daughter Camilla, who lives in Washington, called last Sunday evening to say she was flying home with Gracie for a week. I screamed and danced all over the bedroom. I miss my Washington girls and it was beyond amazing to have them for a week.

If you're a Mom or a Grammy you know how much you love those babies. I tell them they are always my babies no matter how big they get. It was a perfect week with them all. Lots of dancing, late night movies, silly noises, and tons of giggles! I can't wait till Camilla and her little sweetheart come back.
I was finally finished a new pattern called Faith Hope Love. It is simple and quick to stitch and can be made in many different color ways. You know I love red, so I made mine with bright red colors. But pastels and muted colors would be sweet too.

I placed this pattern in the Everyday Thoughts section. The frame was an unfinished frame with a 4" x 6" opening. I painted it with Barn Red paint and Modge Podged a piece of fabric from the Wonderland by MoMo. It is a Moda fabric. I bought a bunch of it and have a few more projects calling to me.
I found a fun blog called Lovely Little Handmades. She (Kerri) has some very simple quilt patterns and things to decorate a childrens room. I LOVED the booties she has at her ETSY site mayaeliseboutique@etsy.com. And she lives a few minutes from Camilla! Small wonderful world huh? I was inspired by the use of bright fabrics bordered in white. I really love the look of simple clean white. People comment that my quilt backs are too boring, but I love simple.
Well...I better run get homework done and a picnic ready. It is a sunny day today and we have three days of rain and snow coming. Have a great day!
